I was on work experience in the art department for two weeks during which I learned a lot of how art department functions and was able to partake in many of its numerous tasks, from graphics and modelmaking to tech drawings deliveries.
Downton Abbey film

On Downton Abbey work experience I participated in many aspects of set dressing that helped me understand the importance of details in the film. From cleaning pots to signing the letters I experienced the life in Downton Abbey from inside out.

The week of experience in Scott Fleary taught me a lot of the technical aspects of set design. I also greatly improved my AutoCAD skills in both tech drawing and 3D modelling.

Student film. It was an intense and exciting project to do. The most fun part of which was that we did build a set from scratch.

Student film art direction. This film was a very intense job that has taught me a lot about organising my own art department, allocating roles and taking responsibilities and a lot of quick thinking on the spot.

An incredibly interesting one-shot short film with loads of dressing. As a production team was very small I've got a chance to socialise with all of them from director to the actress and learn a lot of budget-saving tricks.

LAMDA film. I worked as a set dresser on this short and gained a lot of experience in quick thinking and problem-solving.

LAMDA film. This set needed intense redressing and ageing that was very new to me at the time, though it allowed me to learn a number of industry techniques for that.
